Henvendelse til Radio.net om DMR nr for LA100A endte dessverre sånn:
Hi,
I represent the LA6M Mitd-Troms group of NRRL.
Have previously applied for a DMR number for LA100A for which we have a broadcasting license (enclosed) issued by the Norwegian Communications Authority (NKOM) in the period 01.01.2025 – 31.12.2025
The callsign is established to celebrate the first radio contact between Norway and the USA in 1925.
Have applied once before where the justification was (Ref. e-mail June 4, 2024 from Erik Finskas oh2lak:
Since the special callsign is only valid in 2025, you can reapply for the license at the end of the year 2024.
I will reject the DMR ID application at this time.
Now the justification is:
We do not issue ID numbers for temporary special event callsigns, this is in an effort to conserve ID numbers.
We do not understand correctly that there should be two different justifications.
At the same time, we believe that the DMR number we are requesting will be released on 31.12.2025 and can then be used by others.
Such an important event should be able to be postponed.
Given the problem that there will be a shortage of numbers, we see that there are far fewer radio amateurs in Norway than in other countries to compare ourselves to.
Based on these arguments, we do not understand the rationale behind the decision, and ask you to take it up and make a new assessment.
Possibly point out where/who we can appeal the decision.
We hope for understanding of this and that the request is treated positively.
Merry Christmas es 73 de LA9JFA Harald
